Under the aegis of E and ICT Academy, IIT Guwahati and with funding from Ministry of Communication and IT, Government of India, Chaiduar College, Gohpur recently conducted a Faculty Development Program (FDP) for its faculty. The six days long event from July 1 to July 6 was themed on ' ICT Tools for Classroom Teaching'. The event saw 50 enthusiastic participants from nearby institutions namely Kalabari College, Bihali Degree College and Tetonpukhuri Higher Secondary School including teaching and non teaching staff of Chaiduar College. In-sync with the motto of Digital India Campaign, the workshop promulgated the idea of extensive use of ICT in teaching-learning discourse. Aryan Sarma, Minakshi Kakoti, Utpal Das and Mrinal Sarma from Trendsetter Career Academy, a training associate of E and ICT Academy, IIT Guwahati acted as resource persons for various technical sessions providing tricks of the trade to gathering. Dr. Anjan Kumar Ozah, Principal, Chaiduar College, Gohpur at the valedictory session appealed to the participants to start "ICT Era" in their respective institutions from the coming session.
